About Junior Chamber Kuala Lumpur Mandarin

History
The idea on the formation of Junior Chamber International Kuala Lumpur Mandarin (JCIKLM) was initiated in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Datuk Yeat was invited there to be a participant of the Junior Chamber Asia Pacific Area Conference, the ASPAC 2000.

Back in Malaysia, Chartered President JC Datuk Yeat gathered around his trusted friends, namely JC Dato’ Aric Ng & JC Eric Chong to lay the foundation for the setting up of the first Mandarin Chapter in Peninsular Malaysia.

The objective of JCIKLM is to provide a channel for young Malaysian entrepreneurs who converse in Mandarin to interact with each other, to develop fellowship and to involve in social activities. In that, they could enhance their management and communication skills.

At the turn of the millennium, the JCIKLM was formed. The formal installation was held at the Istana Hotel in KL on the 17th February 2001. Although new, it was reputed to have the largest gathering of participants in the Chapter's history in Malaysia.

JCIKLM was by no means an infant for there were a lot of experiences and help provided by the people of the established Chapters in Malaysia. One of them is JC Lawrence Lor, the former President who had provided JCIKLM with immense guidance and wisdom.

With a dedicated team with unshakable commitment, JCI Senator, Ngui Ing Ing, awarded JCIKLM with the enviable task of welcoming the Junior Chamber International World President; George Bouverat to Malaysia on the 16th of July 2001. The task was carried out with utmost integrity and honour.

Ever since the date of formed, JCIKLM had organized several business visits to local enterprises, which providing the opportunity for members to learn and seek guidance from successful local entrepreneurs, in aspiration to foster and build up outstanding young leaders who are dedicated selflessly towards the development of community.

Although JCIKLM had been established for just 9 years, but it had received the highest recognition and compliments from JCI Malaysia to host the TOYM Award Program for the consecutive seventh year. Undoubtedly, it is another significant event for JCIKLM.

Foundation
The foundation of JCIKLM was set up with three important tenets below that were to be the basis of the organization.

Career
JCIKLM provides valuable resources for career development as we strive to afford linkage to community leaders and community-based experiences. It will be another avenue by which community businesses become involved in the career education and development of youth in the country. Individuals and partnerships achieve their maximum potential when the right mix of people from many organizations is involved. Mobilizing endorsement and support of high-level leaders from the collaborating organizations who are willing to assign time, money, and human resources to the individuals and partnership effort.

Family
JCIKLM always upholds the values of a traditional family and provides reference points to seek and foster unity in that aspect. Strong families change their focus from what they have not done to what they can do. From what they do not have, to what they do have. From where they have not been, to where they can go. From their weaknesses, to their strengths.

Health
JCIKLM believes that a healthy body builds a healthy mind. Therefore good health is vital to our success in everything we do. Optimal health should be the goal of everyone and it is perhaps the most significant goal we can have in our life. In that, JCIKLM promotes a lifestyle of healthy living by organizing healthy activities that coexist with its business activities.

吉隆坡国际文华青商会成立于2000年，是西马首个以中文为交流媒介的分会。

2000年，创会会长拿督叶绍全受邀参加于台湾高雄市举办的2000年国际青年商会亚洲太平洋区域代表大会。随着即产生成立吉隆坡文华国际青年商会的想法。

回到马来西亚后，创会会长拿督叶绍全召集几位值得信赖及志同道合的朋友，包括拿督伍伟成及张启扬先生开始筹备成立西马首个以中文为交流媒介的分会。

吉隆坡文华国际青年商会成立的宗旨为结合我国青年企业家的力量，提供青年们为社会贡献一份服务的机会，建立真诚的情谊，同时透过举办各项活动，提升青年们的沟通与管理技巧。

吉隆坡文华国际青年商会于2001年2月17日假吉隆坡皇宫酒店举行盛大的创会之夜及理监事宣誓就职仪式。虽然是新分会，吉隆坡文华国际青年商会却得到许多其他分会及地方组织领袖的出席支持，可说是马来西亚国际青商会史上最为人津津乐道的喜事。

吉隆坡文华国际青年商会获得全国其他分会有经验的资深会员的协助。尤其是吉隆坡国际青年商会前会长罗伦斯•罗青商，更提供我们强大的指导与智慧。

为了巩固具有坚定意志及无私奉献的团队，魏永英青商参议员委任本会令人羡慕的任务，即迎接于2001年7月16日拜访我国的国际青年商会世界总会长George Bouverat。这项任务确是本会的荣誉。

成立至今，本会安排了许多企业拜访，提供机会让会员向我国杰出的企业家学习，期望有朝一日能够培养出杰出及具有深灰贡献精神的领袖。

本会成立了九年，获得马来西亚国际青商总会的认同和肯定，连续八年委托我会举行盛大的「十大杰出青年奖」表扬活动，无疑是一项重要的大事纪。
